PTA Art Reflections 2018-19

PTA Reflections is a National PTA sponsored Arts program.
The Reflections program recognizes students at the Local, Council/Region, State, and National PTA levels. At each level, all entries are judged on interpretation of the theme, creativity and artistic merit. The Reflections program is open to all Texas students who meet the necessary requirements, including one completed Entry form with each submission.

Reflections have encouraged millions of students to express themselves by giving positive recognition for their artistic efforts. Students in preschool through grade 12 may create and submit works of art in six categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Musical Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts.

Students may enter any or all of the six art categories. Multiple entries within a single arts category is permitted. Each entry must be the original work of one student and created specifically for the Reflections program based on the national 2018-2019 Theme: “Heroes Around Me” Participants are highly encouraged to explain how their work relates to the theme in their Artist Statements.

All ASE students are invited to participate by creating new original artwork inspired by the theme in one or more of the Arts Categories with no limit to the number of entries in a single category! Students K-2 submit their artwork in the Primary Division and students 3-5 in the Intermediate Division.

Submissions due October 4th6-7 pm and October 5th 7:30-8: 30 am at the ASE Cafe
