Fun Run 2020

1K Family Color Run – 8:00 AM

5K Competitive Run – 8:15 AM

5K Non-Competitive Run – 8:20 AM

Awards Ceremony – 9:30 AM

START LINE

All races will start at the Entrance by Front Office at ASE according to start times.

RACE DESCRIPTION

The 1K Family Color run will consist of an approximately 2/3 mile walk/run and start at 8:00 AM. The Color Run, also known as the Happiest 1K on the Planet, is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness, and individuality. “Color Runners”, are doused from head to toe in different colors throughout the 1K.

The 5K Competitive Run will start at 8:15 AM. The competitive 5K will provide a timing chip for all runners that sign up for this race. An awards ceremony will be held at 9:30 AM. A medal and plaque will be given to the top female and male in certain age groups.

The 5K Non-Competitive Run will start at 8:20 AM. This run/walk will be for families and individuals who do NOT want to compete for an award. Strollers will be allowed but are asked to start at the back of the race.

THE COURSES

All three races begin together at the front entrance of Anne Sullivan Elementary School. Please see the course map.

The finish line is located near the gym at Anne Sullivan Elementary.

PACKET PICKUP

Friday, February 21st, 2020, from 7 AM to 7 PM at Anne Sullivan Elementary, 17828 Winding Waters Lane, Sugar Land.  There will be NO packet pickup on the day of the race.

WEATHER

This is a rain or shine event!

PARKING

Free Shuttle service will be provided. Shuttle service will pick up from the Riverstone Clubhouse and transport to Anne Sullivan Elementary. Shuttle Service will run from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM. There will be NO PARKING on Winding Waters Lane. Police will be monitoring parking.

WATER STATIONS

There are two water stations located on the race. The first water station will be located at the halfway point of the 5K race at the turnaround in Pecan Manor. The second water station will be located past the finish line.

FINISH LINE

The Finish line will be located near the Anne Sullivan Elementary gymnasium.

CAUTION

This is an open road course.  Music players, jogging strollers and pets are welcome but at your own risk. We do ask that if you have pets or strollers on the 5K that you start at the end of the pack.

TIMING

Only the 5K Competitive Run will have timed chips. Results will be revealed with an Awards Ceremony at 9:30 AM.

AWARDS

Awards will be given as follows:

Overall Male – Receive Plaque & Medal

Overall Female – Receive Plaque & Medal

Age Group Awards:

Top 3 in the age groups will receive a medal (gold, silver & bronze);
Ages 10 – Under
Ages 11-14
Ages 15-19
Ages 20-29
Ages 30-39
Ages 40-49
Ages 50-59
Ages 60 & older

SHIRTS

Runners who register before February 7th, 2020 will receive a Fun Run T-shirt.

REFRESHMENTS

Food Trucks will be on-site.

REFUNDS, TRANSFERS, AND NO-SHOWS

We understand that things happen and schedules change.  We will gladly transfer your tag to another runner but sorry, no refunds.  If you did not attend the race but would still like your shirt(s), email us to make arrangements to pick them up.
